I knew it was going to be marginal at 18 knots for my 5.7m but thought I'd give it ago anyway as I had my wetsuit on. Sure enough, not quite enough wind, but I did eventally manage to make it out the back fully planing, I then tried to tack rather than gybe so as not to lose too much ground downwind, but came off. Ice-cream headache then set in (which I get really bad, making me want to throw up, go dizy and lose my vision breifly) By the time I'd recovered from that shock to the system a few waves had washed me back in a little way and getting going again would have meant dodging groynes. So I decided to admit to the fact that there wasn't quite enough wind and go home!

A nice way to wake up in the morning though! And I did get planing for a while and make one little jump.... Time to get a bigger sail though.
